College and University Acceptances

HMA’s Classes of 2024 and 2025 have received acceptances from many excellent institutions, including the American University of Beirut, Ashesi University, Babson College, Bocconi University, Bowdoin College, Brown University, Columbia University, Colorado College, Dartmouth University, Georgetown University-Qatar, Hong Kong University, Koc University, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Pomona College, Smith College, Swarthmore, Tufts University, UCLA, Vanderbilt University, Wellesley College, Williams College, and Yale University. 

Our students must prepare for success in both Ethiopia as well as the international stage, requiring them to engage deeply with elements of two sets of curriculums, while also making time for the service learning and other activities that develop them as community-minded leaders. Both graduating classes achieved an expected 100% pass rate on the 12th grade national exams, making HMA one of very few schools in the entire country with such results. In 2025, eighty one percent achieved a an “exceptional score” of over 500, achieved by only .41% of students country wide. National Exam results are the basis for university enrollment within Ethiopia, and HMA graduates are therefore in the strongest possible position to obtain seats at their first-choice university.
